Colored Water Centerpiece Ideas

Coming up with inexpensive reception centerpieces can be extremely difficult especially when you have to purchase flowers for 10-20 tables depending on the size of your reception. The average total cost for floral table centerpieces is $1,272, according to The Bridal Association of America. There is a way that you can get elegant, contemporary, modern centerpieces at cost of $10-$20 per centerpiece. A new trend is to use a tall glass vase and fill it with dyed water with floating candles. This adds color to your table without spending a fortune on flowers. If your reception is at night the candles in the centerpieces create a beautiful ambiance and colorful glow around the room. If you must have floral too, it is easy to add a beautiful stem of flower in the water like an orchid. Another beautiful option is to have multiple vases at varying heights and color each water a different color of your wedding's color scheme.

Make sure when you are choosing your centerpieces regardless of price that you follow the rule of thumb: Tall or short & wide. The idea is that you have a 60" or wider table and you don't want it to look awkward and you need the eyes to be drawn upward (tall vases) or take up more space on the table to fill some empty space (short & wide)

To get the vases at a less expensive cost, look for a wholesaler online. The only con for this option is that you will now own the vases vs. when you rent from a florist. But the pro is that you can sell them once you are done and make some of the money back.
